Since the pandemic, we have been staying at home for long time. The scent of the house became important to me. I would love to have delight scent in every single room when I walk in or stay at.
I’ve been in the fragrance hunt for long time, lots of the home fragrance are either too chemically strong or in the high end price tag. I love the scents from Diptyque, Jo malone, and Byredo, but I can’t afford of buying everything from these luxury brands. Here are some of the more affordable Home Fragrance and candles I love recently.
Affordable Home Fragrance and candles
I found a independent candle company called Brooklyn Candle Studio that makes all the candles petroleum-free, cruelty-free, phthalate-free, and 100% vegan. I’ve seen lots of people using it and heard of their scents are divine. So I bought three of their popular scents, and Santal is my favorite. see the descriptions below: ( information from their detailed scent glossary )

- Palo Santo
We spent months collaborating with perfumers on a scent that truly recreates and honors the deep, woody richness of the sacred Palo Santo (“holy wood”) tree native to Peru, Ecuador, and many Central and South American countries. Since the Incan era, the fragrant wood has been ritualistically burned to cleanse a space of bad energy, and the oil is said to have purifying and healing properties. Our rendition features calming top notes of cedar and mint, middle notes of cypress, and eucalyptus, and warm base notes of sandalwood and amber. This candle is infused with eucalyptus, peppermint, and cedarwood essential oils. - Montana Forest
Inspired by the fresh evergreens that grow in the airy mountains of Montana, this scent is reminiscent of nature in a far-off place. A Brooklyn Candle Studio original blend of blue spruce, pine, and camphor essential oils and fragrance. - Santal
A sultry masculine blend of earth and woods. Hinoki Cypress floats above a rich heart of cedar and pine over a warm base of vetiver and sandalwood.
Another affordable home fragrance brand is from Voluspa which I found it on Nordstrom’s website. The price is affordable and the variety of scents really attracted me to buy a few items from them.
I bought the Maison Noir Crisp Champagne Fragrant Oil Diffuser, Japonica French Cade Lavender candle and Japonica Yashioka Gardenia candle. All of them have light floral scent with slightly sweet note and not overpowering.
