Buttery garlic shrimp fried rice is really easy to make fried rice, you can substitute shrimp to any protein you like, such as tofu, chicken, beef or even no proteins. I always keep some cooked rice in the refrigerator, so I can cook fried rice or porridge whenever I am craving rice for comfort. It is such a straight forward, quick and easy dish.
What you need for Buttery Garlic Shrimp Fried Rice
(Serving 2 people):
– 1 lb Shrimp (peeled and cleaned)
– 2 eggs
– 1 bowl of cooked rice (chilled overnight will be better)
– 3 Tbsp Butter
– Minced Garlic 1 Tbsp
– 1 Tbsp Chopped Green onions
– Salt & pepper 1 Tbsp (mix well for easy seasoning)
– optional white pepper powder
Tip and trick for fried rice :
- Use pre-cooked, chilled in the refrigerator a day ahead. Thaw out the rice one hour before cooking
- Fry whole eggs not scrambled eggs
- Don’t overcooked the garlic
- Cook protein before cooking fried rice
