After wearing a mask everyday for almost six months. I really miss doing makeup . When Chanel released Holiday 2020 collection, I knew that I have to treat myself for the year.
The new 2020 holiday collection is gorgeous and the packaging from Chanel.com is truly thoughtful and beautiful. As you can see in the photo, the Chanel logo and the chain embossed on the palettes which makes the collection luxurious.
A powerful symbol of the House, the legendary golden chain interwoven with black leather first appeared on the 2.55 bag designed by Mademoiselle in February 1955. Freeing women’s hands with a chain is a CHANEL paradox that Lucia Pica reinterprets in this limited-edition collection for the holiday season. The CHANEL Global Creative Makeup and Colour Designer paints a portrait of a strong, radiant woman with a colour palette of deep, golden shades for a bold makeup look.
The limited edition blush LES CHAÎNES D’OR DE CHANEL is gorgeous. The compact is the classic Chanel Black compact box with black velvet pouch with the limited shade : Rose Gold – A creation adorned with the chains of CHANEL. An intense bronze-rose illuminating blush, embossed with a link design. For a luminous complexion. The color glides so smoothly on my face and it has the subtle shimmer. What a beautiful color!!
Chanel came out with four limited edition eyeshadows: OR Antique, OR Blanc, Cuivre Rose and Cuir Brun. The exclusive creation: Antique Gold – A rich, brilliant golden eyeshadow, stamped with a braided chain motif.
I purchased the Cuivre Rose color which is similar to the blush Rose Gold with slightly color depth difference.
The lip color 107 – OR Beige has slight shimmer with nude rose color almost live mauve. The swatches of these three colors are showing below, and they are really similar.
My Review
I really like this limited collection, the light shimmer effects from the rose gold tone color is beautiful. It gives a subtle holiday look but still practical for everyday wear. This is my first time purchasing Chanel Makeup for myself (I bought couple items for my mom), and I am in love with the collection.
I can’t wait to explore more of Chanel makeup products in the future.
