CHANEL Les 4 Ombres Tweed
The New CHANEL LES 4 OMBRES TWEED Eyeshadows are here, and they are gorgeous!
Just as Gabrielle Chanel borrowed tweed from the equestrian universe to create her iconic jacket, which gave the body freedom of movement, CHANEL draws inspiration from this signature material to design limited-edition eye palettes that dress up the gaze. The 4 collectible creations feature vibrant, pigment-rich eyeshadow shades embossed with the emblematic woven design. Each is nestled inside an exclusive matching tweed pouch, uniquely and expertly crafted by Maison Lesage—embroiderer since 1858 and part of the CHANEL Maisons d’Art. The warm colour harmonies in matte, satin and metallic finishes offer luminous looks that range from subtle to sophisticated.
02 Tweed Pourpre
02 Tweed Pourpre is the first palette I was drawn into from CHANEL LES 4 OMBRES TWEED Eyeshadows. It is a palette with pink and purple tones. I was not sure if the purple shade will show on my skin tone, and the pigment is really light upon swatching on my arm. I managed to get beautiful purple and pink color with dense brush. There are some fine shimmery on top of these satin colors, and they give a subtle bright color to eyes. I love the mauve purple shades from this palette.
See my swatches of 02 Tweed Pourpre under nature lighting below.
04 Tweed Brun Et Rose
CHANEL 04 TWEED BRUN ET ROSE is really similar to 01 TWEED CUIVRE but in cooler tone. Despite it may look ordinary from the pan, It has satin, semi satin sheen of beige, taupe, shimmery peach and dark brown shades. This is my favorite palette out of the two I picked up.
I think this palette is neutral and can be worn everyday. Here are some swatches under natural light.
Some of the CHANEL LES 4 OMBRES TWEED Eyeshadows are still in stock, you can find it on Chanel website. It retails at US$88 which is more than regular CHANEL eyeshadow palettes. I think they are beautiful and can be collectable item.
