Meditation is a way to focus on your mind, to train your attention or awareness to achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state. You might have heard that meditation is good for you, but you probably hasn’t started doing it.
Sometimes I need a small amount of concentration for my mental status but I don’t know how to achieve that status. I tend to overthink about things to the point of thinking that I must follow a certain direction or it should be done the correct way.
After doing some web browsing and trying to meditate on my own. I realize that the meditation to me is a specific moment of being comfortable with my own breathe rhythm and my own body.
Here are some of the easiest ways I found for simple meditation anytime of the day.
- Morning : I like to practice a quick meditation while I am making my cup of coffee in the morning. There is something about making a cut of pour over coffee, pouring down the boiling water over desire amount of coffee grounds. I like to smell the aroma of the coffee while pouring hot water down and looking at the water swirling down. At this moment, I am being grateful of everything I have. This is the meditation I do in the morning. I start to think about all the good things I have, healthy body, food, drinks, family, friends, and a place to live.
- Evening : Meditation on the bed – After finishing my nighty skin care routine, I like to stretch my body to destress. While stretching my body, I am focusing on my breath, and my body moment. This is a way to rewind and clear my mind before sleep.
These two simple method in different time of a day, usually takes about 10 minutes. Meditation doesn’t need to be long, as long as you are focus within that time frame, you will be rewarded. Try it !! 🙂
